Soccer Game Preview: Cabrillo vs. Woodrow Wilson

Cabrillo is 0-10 against Woodrow Wilson since January of 2020 but things could change on Thursday. The Cabrillo Jaguars will challenge the Woodrow Wilson Bruins at 5:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

Cabrillo is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Compton onto the board and left with an 11-0 victory on Wednesday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Jaguars with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Woodrow Wilson, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 6-0 margin over Jordan on Tuesday. Given the Bruins' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 207th, while the Panthers are ranked 864th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Woodrow Wilson is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those four games. As for Cabrillo, their win bumped their record up to 8-5-3.
