Basketball Game Preview: Arvin Bears vs. Rosamond Roadrunners + How To Watch

The Arvin Bears will head out to challenge the Rosamond Roadrunners at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Arvin's defense has only allowed 29.4 points per game this season, so Rosamond's offense will have their work cut out for them.

On Tuesday, Arvin earned a 44-36 victory over Strathmore.

Arvin found their leader in sophomore Melina Gracia, who posted 20 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Gracia has scored at least a third of the Bears' points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rosamond). They blew past Palmdale 69-15 on Monday. The Roadrunners have beaten the Falcons the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Falcons has come to flipping the script.

Arvin better keep an eye on Abigail Cardoza. She was instrumental in Rosamond's win, putting up 20 points and seven steals. That's the most points Cardoza has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Nadiyah Baladez, who scored 13 points in addition to six boards and six steals.

Rosamond was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Arvin's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Rosamond, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Arvin strolled past Rosamond in their previous meeting back in December of 2017 by a score of 44-27. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Roadrunners have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
