Recap: Riverdale Cowboys vs. Laton Mustangs
The Riverdale Cowboys won the last time they faced the Laton Mustangs, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Riverdale was the clear victor by a 41-16 margin over Laton. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Riverdale.
Riverdale found their leader in underclassman Valeria Olguin, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Karen Ayala, who scored 7 points.
Laton's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Madison Heffley, who scored 4 points along with 10 rebounds, and Evelyn Buttle who scored 4 points.
Riverdale's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Laton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverdale will take on Kings Christian at 6:30 p.m. on November 30th. As for Laton, they will head out on the road to face off against Tranquillity at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
