Soccer Game Preview: Galileo vs. San Francisco International

The Galileo Lions will challenge the San Francisco International Huskies at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Galileo knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully San Francisco International likes a good challenge.

San Francisco International better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Galileo really get things going. Everything went Galileo's way against Marshall on Wednesday as Galileo made off with a 4-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won five contests by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Marshall with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Solana Piomelli, Caitlyn Junus, Alisson Guardado, and Andrea Mejia.

Meanwhile, San Francisco International won against Burton back in January with two goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again back in January. San Francisco International narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Galileo 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Huskies.

Galileo pushed their record up to 6-1-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three games. As for San Francisco International, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
