Football Recap: Canfield Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Canfield had no problem doing just that on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 27-12 victory over the Kenston Bombers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cardinals also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2020.

Although Kenston took the loss, they still got scores from Max George and Kahlil Hinton.

Canfield's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.0 points on average over those games. As for Kenston, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.

Coming up, Canfield will square off against Villa Angela-St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals will need to watch out since the Vikings have now posted at least 31 points in their last eight matchups. Kenston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
