Soccer Recap: Elida Comes Up Short

There was early excitement for Elida after they claimed the first goal on Tuesday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell 3-1 to Celina. While losing is never fun, Elida can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 345th, while Celina is ranked 124th).

Elida dropped their record down to 2-6-2 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Celina, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3-2.

Looking ahead, Elida will take on Bryan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Celina, they will square off against Kalida at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
