Football Game Preview: Gaffney Indians vs. Dorman Cavaliers + Official Tickets

Gaffney and Dorman are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2017, but not for long. The Indians are taking a road trip to challenge the Cavaliers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Dorman will be up against a hot Gaffney team: the squad just extended their winning streak to five. The Indians took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 49-20 win over Riverside. The Indians' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Banks Bouton produced another solid performance rushing for 96 yards and two TDs on only seven carries, while also throwing for 145 yards and one touchdown while completing 90% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (162.5). Another player making a difference was Josiah Hill, who rushed for 88 yards and a pair of scores on only eight carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Gaffney was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 321 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 220 rushing yards in four consecutive games.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Gaffney's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Jeronte Kimbrough and Kamari Biggs, who each picked up 0.5 sacks apiece.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Dorman against Wade Hampton on Friday as the squad secured a 52-7 victory. The contest marked the Cavaliers' most dominant win of the season.

Gaffney's record now sits at 6-2. As for Dorman, their record is now an identical 6-2.

Gaffney couldn't quite finish off Dorman in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 and fell 9-7. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
