Softball Recap: Clinton Takes a Loss

Clinton couldn't beat Montrose on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the seventh inning. The Cardinals fell just short of the Blue Jays by a score of 7-6. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Blue Jays apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Clinton's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Montrose, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clinton will take on Pleasant Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Cardinals' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Montrose, they will challenge Climax Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
