Aragon has gone 9-0-1 against San Mateo recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Aragon Dons will square off against the San Mateo Bearcats at 4:30 p.m. Aragon's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

If San Mateo heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Aragon took over last week. Aragon had just enough and edged Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory out 2-1. That's two games straight that the Dons have won by just one goal.

Emi Lo was the driving force of Aragon's attack as she scored both of Aragon's goals, bringing her season total up to four goals.

Meanwhile, San Mateo had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.7 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Vikings a 3-0 shutout. Give the Bearcats' defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

San Mateo's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Aragon, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 4-1.

Everything went Aragon's way against San Mateo in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, as Aragon made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Aragon since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
