Basketball Recap: Windber Wins Going Away Against Mcconnellsburg

With a playoff win on the line, Windber rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They took down the McConnellsburg Spartans 54-39. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Ramblers also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2022.

Kaylie Gaye was her usual excellent self, putting up 16 points along with six assists and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Payton Roxby, who posted ten points.

Windber now has a winning record of 12-11. As for McConnellsburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.

Coming up, Windber will take on Berlin Brothersvalley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Berlin Brothersvalley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight matchups. McConnellsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
