Riverton and North Mac are an even 4-4 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Hawks will welcome the Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Riverton is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Jacksonville just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (8-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Brodee Bates was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with four stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan LaDew, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Monday North Mac sidestepped Litchfield for a 2-1 win.

North Mac has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Riverton, their loss dropped their record down to 10-15.
