Recap: El Dorado Cougars vs. Liberty Ranch Hawks
The El Dorado Cougars waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They took down Liberty Ranch 57-40. The victory was all the more spectacular given El Dorado's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 609th, while Liberty Ranch is ranked 278th).
Alana Schneider was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 26 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 15 games she's played. Hannah Priest was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six assists.
El Dorado is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Liberty Ranch, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-5.
El Dorado will head out on the road to challenge Bradshaw Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bradshaw Christian has now lost 13 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 27. As for Liberty Ranch, they will be playing at home against Rosemont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
