Baseball Recap: Etowah's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Ten

It's playoff time, and Etowah had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Carrollton Trojans on Tuesday as they made off with an 11-1 victory. Considering the Eagles have won 21 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Etowah's tenth in a row) raised their record to 32-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Carrollton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 23-12 record this season.

Etowah will square off against Parkview on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 2.9, the Panthers 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Carrollton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
