Basketball Recap: Mcclatchy Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask McClatchy). They blew past the West Park Panthers 100-23 on Friday. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 20 points or more this season.

West Park's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jill Ngo, who posted eight points.

McClatchy pushed their record up to 19-6 with the win, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points over those games. As for West Park, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record this season.

McClatchy has already played their next game, a 67-51 victory against Grant on the 11th. As for West Park, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 72-44 defeat against Kennedy on the 11th.
