Softball Game Preview: Humboldt Wildcats vs. Algona Bulldogs

The Humboldt Wildcats will challenge the Algona Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Humboldt has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Algona will arrive with four straight victories.

It was a proper cat-fight when Humboldt took on Benton on Saturday. The Wildcats lost 10-1 to the Bobcats.

Meanwhile, while Algona put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for St. Ansgar. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Saints with a sharp 20-0 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

Algona's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Humboldt, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
