Baseball Recap: Holmes Takes a Loss

Holmes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Beechwood Tigers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in April.

Holmes' defeat dropped their record down to 1-21-1. As for Beechwood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Holmes nor Beechwood have any future games scheduled.
