Basketball Recap: Marin Academy Comes Up Short

On Wednesday, the Marin Academy Wildcats came up short against the Fortuna Huskies and fell 46-34. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 373rd, while the Huskies are ranked 80th).

Marin Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Fortuna, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Marin Academy Wildcats duke it out with the International Jaguars at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Fortuna, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Tamalpais at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Fortuna's defense has only allowed 28.3 points per game this season, so Tamalpais' offense will have their work cut out for them.
