Basketball Recap: California Lutheran Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Lucy Greuel and Cailin Schroeder

California Lutheran was the 61-32 winner over Academy for Academic Excellence when they last played one another back in December of 2014, but their luck changed this time around. The California Lutheran C-Hawks lost to the Academy for Academic Excellence Knights at home by a 35-16 margin on Wednesday. The C-Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

California Lutheran's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Cailin Schroeder, who posted 12 points and eight rebounds, and Lucy Greuel, who had two points. That was a full 75% of California Lutheran's points, marking the third time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points.

California Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Academy for Academic Excellence, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-14.

As of now, neither California Lutheran nor Academy for Academic Excellence have any future games scheduled.
