Football Recap: Andale Skates Past Wellington with Ease

Andale won the last time they faced Wellington and things went their way on Friday too. The Indians claimed a resounding 77-20 win over the Crusaders. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Indians' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas football rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Crusaders are ranked 49th).

Wellington lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jalik Armstrong, who rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns. Colton Elmore was another key player, throwing for 235 yards and a pair of TDs.

Andale's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Wellington, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Andale will challenge rival Rose Hill on Friday. Meanwhile, Wellington is set to face off against their familiar foe Clearwater at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
