Softball Recap: Aspen Comes Up Short

Aspen fell victim to Cedaredge and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 17-0 to the Bruins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bruins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 on Monday.

Aspen's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cedaredge, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Looking ahead, Aspen will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Basalt at 4:00 p.m. The Longhorns have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.09 runs per game on average), something the Skiers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Cedaredge, they will square off against Grand Junction at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
