Soccer Game Preview: Legacy vs. South East

Legacy and South East are an even 4-4-2 against one another since January of 2019, but likely not for long. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Legacy challenge the South East at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Legacy will be strutting in after a victory while South East will be coming in after a loss.

Legacy's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 5-0 margin over Huntington Park. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won seven contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, South East was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They fell just short of Roosevelt by a score of 1-0. The shutout was out of character for the Jaguars seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in December of 2024.

Legacy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. As for South East, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-4-1.

Legacy beat South East by a goal in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 4-3. Does Legacy have another victory up their sleeve, or will South East turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
