Football Recap: Joseph Bradley Key Part of Team Effort in Wasps Win

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Wasatch's strategy against Bonneville on Friday. The Wasps were the clear victors by a 37-13 margin over the Lakers. The Wasps pushed the score to 30-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lakers had little chance of recovering from.

Wasatch's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joseph Bradley led the charge by rushing for 133 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries, while also throwing for 180 yards and one TD. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 80 yards. Logan Duncan was in the mix as well, providing Wasatch with two scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Wasatch was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 292 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 195 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Wasatch now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Bonneville, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Wasatch and Bonneville will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Wasps are set to face off against their familiar foe Spanish Fork at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bonneville will square off against rival Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
