Baseball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Calvary Christian

Calvary Christian had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Strong Rock Christian on Tuesday. Calvary Christian put the hurt on Strong Rock Christian with a sharp 12-4 win.

Calvary Christian let Fitz Stone and Tommy Irving run wild. Stone got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while Irving scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave Irving a new career-high. Cam Houston was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

Calvary Christian's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Strong Rock Christian, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
