Football Recap: Carson Hoover's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Chino over Summit

Chino made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Summit, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Cowboys fell just short of the SkyHawks by a score of 28-25 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Cowboys in their meetings with the SkyHawks: they've now lost three in a row.

Chino's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carson Hoover, who threw for 175 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also punched in two rushing scores. Raymond Chia handled things on the ground, rushing for 148 yards.

Chino's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Summit, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Chino wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 52-13 defeat against Aliso Niguel on the 5th. As for Summit, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-14 loss against Beaumont on the 5th.
