Basketball Preview: Kensington KENSINGTON TIGER vs. South Philadelphia Rams
The Kensington KENSINGTON TIGER will be playing in front of their home fans against the South Philadelphia Rams at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Kensington proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 26) but on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They didn't even let Overbrook onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Kensington has scored all season.
Meanwhile, South Philadelphia waltzed into their match on Friday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They had just enough and edged Sayre out 45-42. South Philadelphia's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
South Philadelphia relied on the efforts of India Brooks, who scored 13 points, and Halimah Blackwell, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Blackwell has scored all season.
The win makes it two in a row for Kensington and bumps their season record up to 6-8. As for South Philadelphia, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2.
