Baseball Game Preview: Franklin County Lions vs. Stephens County Indians

For the second straight game, Franklin County will face off against Stephens County. The Lions will host the Indians at 5:55 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Franklin County 3.9, Stephens County 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Franklin County fell victim to Stephens County and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 1-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Lions were not able to get on the board.

The win (which was Stephens County's sixth in a row) raised their record to 18-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Franklin County, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-6.
