Recap: Ontario Christian Knights vs. Arrowhead Christian Eagles

The Ontario Christian Knights waltzed into their game on Friday with 11 straight wins but they left with 12. They breezed by Arrowhead Christian at home to the tune of 96-23. Ontario Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 29 points or more this season.

Ontario Christian found their leader in underclassman Kaleena Smith, who went 6 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 38 points and 5 assists. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least a third of Ontario Christian's points. Despite the defeat, Arrowhead Christian had strong showings from Kawino Rice, who scored nine points, and Sienna Batalo, who scored six points.

Ontario Christian pushed their record up to 19-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 94.8 points per game. As for Arrowhead Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ontario Christian and Brentwood School will face off at 1:30 p.m. on January 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Brentwood School knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matches -- so hopefully Ontario Christian likes a good challenge. Arrowhead Christian will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Linfield Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Linfield Christian is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
