Basketball Game Preview: La Canada Spartans vs. Rosary Academy Royals

The La Canada Spartans will take on the Rosary Academy Royals at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

La Canada is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They put the hurt on Aliso Niguel with a sharp 49-29 win. The victory was nothing new for the Spartans as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Jennifer Musso and Malia Harney were among the main playmakers for La Canada as the former went 6-for-10 en route to 15 points and five boards and the latter went 6-for-13 on her way to 14 points. Musso's evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points.

Meanwhile, Rosary Academy got the win against Pasadena on Thursday by a conclusive 62-41. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Royals.

La Canada's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-6. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.8 points over those games. As for Rosary Academy, they now have a winning record of 14-13.
