Basketball Recap: Emma Chan Key Part of a Team Effort in Dons Win

There's no place like home for Arroyo, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took down the San Lorenzo Grizzlies 48-30 on Tuesday. The Dons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Grizzlies, too.

Arroyo's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Emma Chan, who posted 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Lopez, who put up nine points.

San Lorenzo's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Alexa Gutierrez, who had nine points, and Destiny Finley, who scored eight points.

Arroyo is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season. As for San Lorenzo, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Arroyo will head out on the road to challenge Mt. Eden at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. San Lorenzo has already played their next contest (against Berkeley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
