Softball Recap: Northeast Beats Maquoketa for Their Third Straight Victory

Northeast entered their tilt with Maquoketa on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Cardinals. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rebels also won the last time the pair played back in July of 2024.

Northeast's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Maquoketa, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-15.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Cardinals beat Northeast by a score of 12-4 later that day.
