Basketball Recap: Palisades Takes a Loss

Palisades and Mater Dei Catholic squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Palisades had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Mater Dei Catholic Crusaders by a score of 57-55. The Dolphins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Crusaders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2020.

Promise Martin continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Mater Dei Catholic, dropping a double-double with 17 points and 19 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn Worley, who posted ten points and six boards.

Palisades' defeat dropped their record down to 17-16. As for Mater Dei Catholic, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-13.

Palisades does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mater Dei Catholic, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-38 win against El Camino Real on the 11th.
