Baseball Recap: Northside Eagles vs. Spalding Jaguars
Northside won the last time they faced Spalding and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Eagles walked away with a 5-1 win over the Jaguars. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.
Taylor Hall and Emerson Rugama were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Hall pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Rugama struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. What's more, Hall posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February of 2025. At bat, Hall went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Rugama went 2-for-3 with two triples and two runs.
In other batting news, Caden Nelson was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Rozier, who went 1-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double.
Northside now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Spalding, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Coming up, Northside will take on Warner Robins at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Spalding, they will challenge Lumpkin County at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
