Baseball Recap: Westside Takes a Loss

Westside lost against Aquinas back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Patriots lost 10-4 to the Fightin' Irish. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Westside got a good showing from Travis Goudy, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Westside saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Collins, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Westside's record now sits at 12-12. As for Aquinas, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.

While Westside had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
