Football Recap: Roosevelt Takes a Loss

Roosevelt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Minneapolis Southwest Lakers, falling 40-13.

Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Minneapolis Southwest, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Roosevelt will host North Community at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Teddies will need to watch out since the Polars have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Minneapolis Southwest, they will head out to square off against Camden/FAIR Downtown at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Minneapolis Southwest will be up against Camden/FAIR Downtown's rather soft defense (which has allowed 35 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
