Softball Recap: Brookwood Comes Up Short

Cairo hit Brookwood with a four-run fourth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Warriors lost 11-3 to the Syrupmakers. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Syrupmakers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Brookwood saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Bodell, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Brookwood's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Cairo, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-6.

Brookwood has already played their next contest, an 11-1 loss against Tiftarea Academy on the 30th. As for Cairo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-3 victory against Peach County on the 30th.
