Soccer Game Preview: Springfield vs. Field

The Springfield Spartans will venture away from home to take on the Field Falcons on Saturday. Springfield will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Springfield will bounce into Saturday's matchup after beating Norton, who they had gone 1-7-1 against in their nine prior meetings. The Spartans never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Thursday. Seth Nicholson had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Springfield.

Meanwhile, Field got the win against Coventry on Thursday by a conclusive 14-0. The win continues a trend for Field in their matchups with Coventry: they've now won seven in a row.

Field's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Springfield, their win bumped their record up to 9-4-1.

Springfield might still be hurting after the 7-3 loss they got from Field in their previous matchup back in September. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Spartans were down 6-2.
