The Cairo Syrupmakers will venture away from home to face off against the Bainbridge Bearcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Cairo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.4 goals per game this season.

Cairo will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Friday, then bounced right back against Georgia Christian on Tuesday. Cairo never let Georgia Christian get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. It was an even better day for Dray Bass as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, after soaring to eight goals the game before, Bainbridge was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell just short of Peach County by a score of 2-1. The Bearcats' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Cairo is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five matchups. Bainbridge's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-3.

Cairo might still be hurting after the 6-1 defeat they got from Bainbridge when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Cairo avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
