Volleyball Recap: Windsor Falls Short Against Ranked Rampart

Windsor faced Rampart in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wizards took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rams. The loss continues a trend for the Wizards in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost four in a row.

Windsor's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jasmine White, who had 23 assists and 11 digs. White is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Smiley, who had 23 digs.

Rampart's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gabriella Melecio, who had 21 digs. Another player making a difference was Ariana Clarose, who had 12 digs and two aces.

Windsor's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Rampart, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-2.

As of now, neither Windsor nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
