Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Escondido Charter). They took down the Santa Fe Christian Eagles 76-59 on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Escondido Charter's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Azalea Vilaysing, who went 8 for 18 on her way to 23 points and three steals. Those 23 points gave Vilaysing a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Noelle ChampagNe, who went 5 of 9 en route to 12 points along with seven assists and five steals.

Escondido Charter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 20 consecutive contests.

Santa Fe Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Piper Lenihan and Jennifer Stanion. Lenihan dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds, while Stanion dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards. Lenihan has been hot for a while, having also posted three or more steals the last ten times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jaedyn Davis, who posted two points and ten rebounds.

Escondido Charter pushed their record up to 15-8 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for Santa Fe Christian, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-13.

Escondido Charter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 69-33 win against Pacific Ridge on the 31st. Santa Fe Christian has also already played their next game, a 59-48 defeat against Morse on the 1st.
