Baseball Game Preview: Northview Titans vs. Tucker Tigers

For the second straight game, Northview will face off against Tucker. Northview will head out on the road to challenge Tucker at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

Last Friday, Northview narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Tucker 5-3.

Northview got a great performance from Ryan DiSano as he struck out 11 batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. DiSano has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Northview let Daniel Tompkins and Bryant Gamble run wild. Tompkins scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-3, while Gamble scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave Tompkins a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Graham Forney, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Northview's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Tucker, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-15.
