Basketball Recap: Beaver Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Beaver and Elizabeth Forward squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Beaver had to settle for second. They fell 63-52 to the Elizabeth Forward Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the 54-35 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Elizabeth Forward can attribute much of their success to Mia Sostaric, who posted 20 points. That's the most points Sostaric has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Zombek, who earned 13 points.

Beaver's loss dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Elizabeth Forward, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-5.

Beaver does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Elizabeth Forward, they will face off against Blackhawk on Monday. One thing working in Blackhawk's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games.
