Football Recap: Lee County's Rushing Attack Does It Again + How To Watch

Lee County won the last time they faced Tift County and things went their way on Friday too. The Trojans walked away with a 41-33 victory over the Blue Devils. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 11th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 99th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jordan Bush was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 224 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.2 yards per carry. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Bush was just one part of a punishing run game: Lee County was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 336 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 159 rushing yards in 16 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Lee County's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.2 points over those games. As for Tift County, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lee County will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Colquitt County at 7:30 p.m. on September 12. As for Tift County, they will welcome Bainbridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Blue Devils are facing the Bearcats at the right time seeing as the Bearcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
