Baseball Game Preview: Rappahannock County vs. Stonewall Jackson Generals

Rappahannock County will square off against the Stonewall Jackson Generals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Rappahannock County's offense. They fell just short of Central Woodstock by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Rappahannock County has suffered against Central Woodstock since April 28, 2022.

Meanwhile, Stonewall Jackson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Madison County.

Stonewall Jackson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Saeler, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Saeler has hit this season.

Stonewall Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Rappahannock County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-15.

Rappahannock County was able to grind out a solid win over Stonewall Jackson in their previous matchup back in April, winning 9-5. Will Rappahannock County repeat their success, or does Stonewall Jackson has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
