Football Game Preview: Coppell Cowboys vs. Flower Mound Jaguars + How To Watch

The Coppell Cowboys will challenge the Flower Mound Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Coppell has three straight wins, Flower Mound has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Thursday, Coppell didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Braswell, but they still walked away with a 25-21 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Cowboys' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Bengals are ranked 249th).

Coppell got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dylan McAfee out in front who rushed for 109 yards and one score on only nine carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 80 yards. Crew Davis was another key receiver, picking up 69 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Meanwhile, Flower Mound ended up a good deal behind Marcus on Thursday and lost 32-14.

Flower Mound's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Coppell, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Everything came up roses for Coppell against Flower Mound in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 42-14 win. Do the Cowboys have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Jaguars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
