Basketball Game Preview: Livingston Wolves vs. Lathrop Spartans

The Livingston Wolves will face off against the Lathrop Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Livingston turned things around against Central Valley on Tuesday. They blew past the Hawks 53-22. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 33-7.

Meanwhile, Lathrop posted their biggest win since November 19, 2024 on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 43-14 victory over Johansen. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Spartans had established a 20 point advantage.

Lathrop's win came from a few key players Livingston will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Shakara Porter, who posted 13 points. Another player making a difference was Kirat Sidhu, who earned eight points.

Livingston's win bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Lathrop, they moved to 11-14 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
