Baseball Recap: Clinch County Takes a Loss

Clinch County and Lake Oconee Academy squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Clinch County had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Titans by a score of 1-0. The Panthers were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the three matchups prior), but the Titans' pitchers proved too tough.

Clinch County now has a losing record of 15-16. As for Lake Oconee Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Clinch County beat Lake Oconee Academy by a score of 7-4 later that day.
