Basketball Recap: Bishop Mccort Beats Bishop Carroll for Their Third Straight Win

Bishop Carroll typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Bishop McCort proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 54-45 win over the Bishop Carroll Huskies. Winning may never get old, but the Crushers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Bishop Carroll lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ava Pablic, who went 6 of 14 en route to 17 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. That's the most points Pablic has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Lucko, who posted ten points.

Bishop McCort pushed their record up to 17-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Bishop Carroll, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-6.

Bishop McCort and Bishop Carroll should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. Bishop McCort (ranked 68th) will meet Richland (ranked 266th) at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. Similarly, Bishop Carroll will face off against Penn Cambria at 6:00 p.m. on Friday up 132 places (103 vs. 235).
