The Orange Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Troy Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Friday, Orange didn't have too much trouble with Laguna Beach as they won 24-9.

Orange found their leader in sophomore Star Thomas, who threw for 391 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 61 yards. The Panthers are 4-1 when Thomas posts 300 or more passing yards, but 2-3 otherwise. 138 of Thomas' passing yards were hauled in by Adam Maldonado, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Orange's defense made their presence known, laying out Jack Hurst seven times. The heavy lifting was done by Sebastian Castro and Anthony Randle, who racked up all seven sacks between them.
Meanwhile, Troy came tearing into Friday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.1 points), and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past the Chargers with points to spare, taking the game 41-24. The Warriors pushed the score to 41-17 by the end of the third, a deficit the Chargers cut but never quite recovered from.
Orange better keep an eye on Ethan Mundt. He was instrumental in Troy's win, rushing for 134 yards and four touchdowns, while also picking up 71 receiving yards. Mundt's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 134 rushing yards.
Troy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 246 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 189 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Orange's record now sits at 6-4. As for Troy, their record is now 9-1.
