Baseball Recap: Jonesboro Cardinals vs. Griffin Bears
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jonesboro). They put the hurt on the Griffin Bears with a sharp 13-7 win on Friday. The Cardinals not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 20, 2024.
Joshua Wimbley was a standout: he scored three runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. He has become a key player for Jonesboro: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-14 otherwise. Isiah Osby III was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.
