Basketball Recap: Irvington Vikings vs. Kennedy Titans
Irvington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 50-32 to the Kennedy Titans. That's two games in a row now that the Vikings have lost by exactly 18 points.
Kennedy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Payton Siquig out in front who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. Those ten rebounds gave Siquig a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Chloe Buchner, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 boards.
Irvington's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Kennedy, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 9-9.
